I watched one of those “day in the life of a billionaire” videos recently. Here are some things that stood out to me:

  1. He and everyone he meets is 50+ years old and all are trying to look as if they’re 30
  2. He drives everywhere himself most of the time
  3. He drives his kids to school himself
  4. He has so much money but still travels all over the world giving speeches on a private jet
  5. He is amazingly kind to everyone he meets and asks random questions about details like running shoes
  6. Enjoys little moments like drinking traditional tea
  7. Always curious (do dates grow on trees?)

Seeing this I think I would be happier making enough to choose to work or not and stay at home enjoying that wealth.

A few million is more than enough. Or having a six-figure job in a field you enjoy.
